05 What would we not have or miss if we did not have a Creation Centre?

Recommendations:

Would we miss a creation space? We retain the right to say “No”

Funding being sucked away from artists – if there was no a world class centre funding would not be take for creating and running the facility

Example: Alidade Craft Centre, set up over twenty years ago with 10 well funded invitations to leading world recognized craft artists and makers who set up workshops and ran master apprentice training schemes for local makers and craft artists in their specific disciplines – glass making, textiles, metal etc.
The centre set up in a glass factory by the City Mayor contributed to the skills and craft of the city and had a direct impact on the craft community and the local economy through selling work.
